-
The Bach Flower Remedies system was created in England between 1920 and 1935 by Dr. Edward Bach, a physician, pathologist, and immunologist. Dissatisfied with medicine’s focus on physical symptoms, he believed emotional suffering often lies at the root of illness.
While working at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital, Bach saw that mental and emotional states are key to healing. Though he experimented with homeopathic bacterial nosodes, he ultimately left medicine to focus on simple, natural remedies “for the soul.”
He identified 38 flower essences, each addressing a specific emotional state or personality type. Since then, the Bach Flower Remedies system has spread worldwide, helping people support emotional balance and overall well-being.

The remedies are prepared using two traditional methods: the sun method and the boiling method. Fresh wild flowers are placed in pure spring water and exposed to sunlight or gently boiled to transfer their energetic imprint.
The resulting infusion is then preserved in alcohol or glycerin, and further diluted to create the final personal remedy, maintaining the energetic qualities of the flower.
For children or those who wish to strictly avoid consuming alcohol, a topical application can be recommended. Stock Bottles can also be made using a glycerin solution instead of alcohol.

Personalized: Bach Flower Remedies treat the individual, not just the symptoms. Two people with the same illness may require different remedies depending on their emotional responses.
No Placebo: The remedies have been shown to work on those unaffected by suggestion, including children, animals, and plants.
Gentle Action: The goal is not to suppress negative emotions but to help manage them constructively, gradually fostering positive virtues.
Frequency: Remedies work through frequency, not quantity. Taking them at least four times daily ensures the essence’s message is delivered and integrated.
Resonance: As a vibrational medicine, the remedies contain no active ingredients. They act as catalysts, requiring the negative emotion as a substrate; if a remedy is not needed, it has no effect.

“This System is the most perfect which has been given to mankind. It has the power to cure disease, and, in its simplicity, it may be used in the household. No science, no knowledge is necessary, and they who will obtain the greatest benefit, will be those who keep it pure as it is; free from science, free from theories, for everything in Nature is simple.”

What to Expect During a Bach Flower Consultation
At the beginning of our session, I explain the Bach Flower Remedies system and what you can realistically expect from it. This helps set a clear understanding of how the remedies work and how they can support your emotional well-being.
We then move into a gentle, confidential conversation about your current experiences—exploring the situations, emotions, and stressors that may be affecting your life, as well as how you typically respond to them.
Sharing personal experiences can require vulnerability, and I always respect your pace. My role is to provide a supportive, judgment-free space where you can speak openly about your feelings and experiences.
Everyone is welcome here, regardless of background, culture, beliefs, or personal journey.
The First
Consultation
Based on our conversation, initially we’ll consider each remedy that resonates with your feelings. In second step we’ll identify and select the Remedies that best reflect your actual emotional state. A personalised blend is then prepared specifically for you.
You will receive clear guidance on how to take the remedies and how they support emotional balance. Each blend is tailored to your unique situation and may be adjusted as your emotional landscape evolves.
Personalised Remedy Blend
Bach Flower Therapy works as a gentle and gradual process of emotional re-balancing. Many people notice shifts in their emotional patterns over time as negative states soften and clarity emerges.
Follow-up sessions allow us to review your progress, address any new emotional layers that may arise and adjust your remedy blend when needed. This step-by-step process supports a deeper and more lasting transformation.

Adulthood is a time of growth and self-discovery, but it also brings many challenges that require resilience, patience, and support. Balancing work, family life, and financial responsibilities can feel overwhelming, especially as career demands and personal commitments evolve.
For expats, these challenges can be even greater. Living far from friends and family may lead to homesickness, and adapting to a new culture can make it difficult to feel truly at home.
Bach Flower Remedies offer gentle emotional support, helping individuals navigate these transitions with greater balance, resilience, and inner calm.
Parents and Children needing gentle emotional support
Children often experience fears and emotional challenges—such as shyness, tantrums, trouble adjusting to changes, or sibling rivalry—that can affect their well-being and development. Bach Flower Remedies provide gentle, natural support and are safe for babies, helping children respond positively through their temperament and behavior.
Parenting can be deeply rewarding, yet stressful at times. Remedies can also support parents by fostering calm, patience, and self regulate. Because family dynamics play a key role in a child’s progress, I recommend a parent consultation alongside the child’s floral journey.
Teenagers struggle navigating adolescence and adulthood
The teenage years can be a challenging time, marked by important physical, emotional, and social changes. Teenagers often face pressures to fit in, develop their identity, and navigate shifting family dynamics, while also gaining greater independence and responsibility.
During this period, emotions such as stress, anxiety, mood swings, and self-doubt can arise. Bach Flower Remedies can offer gentle support, helping teenagers find greater emotional balance, confidence, and stability as they grow and discover who they are.
Elderly care
and support for aging with grace
As we grow older, natural changes in health and lifestyle can bring new challenges. Reduced mobility, the loss of loved ones, or living far from family may lead to loneliness, anxiety, or feelings of isolation.
Many seniors may also experience sleep disturbances, confusion, or cognitive changes related to health conditions or medical treatments.
ach Flower Remedies can offer gentle emotional support, helping older adults maintain inner balance, resilience, and a sense of well-being during this stage of life.

While the Bach Flower Remedies system is a self-serve method and the remedies are available over the counter, receiving the full benefits of the remedies can require deeper insight that only a trained BFRP can provide.
A Bach Flower Remedies Practitioner (BFRP) can explain the nuances that differentiate the remedies and help you select the right one for your individual circumstances.
A properly trained BFRP will objectively assess the patterns that lead to your difficulties and work with you to develop healthy practices and encourage to focus on your innate virtues Understanding the reason why a certain remedy is chosen for you is a fundamental element of the healing process, and a BFRP will guide you through to receive all the benefits to their fullest extent.

The duration of a flower remedy’s effects depends on personal reactivity. Many people notice quick benefits, such as mental clarity and emotional lightness. It’s important to finish the prescribed bottle—usually about three weeks—to evaluate which essences worked well and which may need adjustment. For long-standing issues, remedies typically need to be used for two to four months. Beyond that, Bach Flower Remedies can serve as a continuous companion, supporting emotional balance and well-being in daily life.
-
Bach Flower Remedies do not create dependency, as they contain no active ingredients. There are no reports of mental or physical addiction. The beauty of the remedies is that when they work, you feel enough in yourself. For children, it’s best to give them at intervals, so they don’t come to rely on something external to soothe themselves.
-
Bach Flower Remedies do not change your fundamental temperament or personality. Instead, they help release emotional blocks, reduce negative patterns, and bring balance, allowing your natural qualities and strengths to express more freely. Over time, this can make responses and behaviors more constructive, but your core character remains the same.
-
Bach Flower Remedies are not a substitute for conventional anxiolytics or prescribed medications. However, in cases of passing moods, mild temporary anxiety, or light depression, they can help bring emotional relief and “turn the corner” before more serious medication is needed. They work on emotional balance and can complement conventional treatments, supporting overall mental and emotional well-being.
-
Bach Flower Remedies are usually taken orally. The standard method is 4 drops four times a day, either directly on the tongue or added to a small glass of water and sipped throughout the day. They can be taken with or without food. For little children, remedies can be applied topically on temples and wrists. The key is consistency, as the remedies work through regular repetition rather than quantity
